ALARM SYSTEMS

Mecklenburg County requires smoke detectors in all residential properties.

 

CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTORS

GRILLING IN APARTMENT COMPLEXES  

North Carolina Code prohibits outdoor barbequing or grilling on apartment balconies or within 10 feet of any combustible material in a multi-family property.

 

OUTDOOR BURNING  

To protect the air quality in Mecklenburg County, outdoor burning is generally prohibited. Permits may be obtained to allow outdoor burning in certain situations. For more information, click here.
